How to Manage Pre-Performance Nerves & Stage Fright 😮💨
I am not exaggerating when I tell you that nerves and stage fright nearly ended my music career.
Singing For Self-Care
Did you know that singing has tremendous benefits for both your physical and mental health? It can enhance your brain health, promote longevity, and improve your overall well-being. Additionally, a vibrant throat chakra helps us express ourselves authentically and confidently, enhancing creativity and our ability to communicate our needs and boundaries effectively.
My First True Love
I'm Kat Martin, the proud founder of Wydle Voices Music Studio. Hailing from the sunny landscapes of Southern California, I am a singer, pianist, and songwriter.
Teaching music is not just my profession; it's my deepest passion. I find immense joy in helping others find their truest voice and watching it soar to new heights. Music has the power to transform lives, and I consider it a privilege to be a part of that transformative process.
A Day In the Life of a Musician
Being a musician is soooo fun!! Haha. Sometimes is amazingly fun & joyful and sometimes is torture!
But really it’s only torture if we place expectations on ourselves.
“Success” Is Never Worth Our Health
I took music so seriously in my twenties that it almost destroyed the love & joy I felt playing music as a child.
My need and obsession for success as a musician killed all of the fun and in the process harmed my physical, emotional and mental health.
SUCCESS IS NEVER WORTH OUR HEALTH
Let me repeat that
SUCCESS IS NOT WORTH DESTROYING YOUR HEALTH
We deserve and can achieve success without harming ourselves.
Remembering to Play
I adored singing as a child. I remember rolling around in the grass with my dog Mack, singing lullabies to him. I sang because its what we humans were designed to do. Just like how birds sing. Just like our ancestors have always sung. It hasn’t been until recent history have we created this concept of singers and non singers within our culture.
