Building An Intimate Relationship with Your Voice

Your voice is one of your most precious instruments. In fact, it is a sound healing instrument built within your body. How often are you intentionally using this powerful instrument?
Vocalizing or singing is actually very simple. We all did it as babies. We opened our mouths wide, air spilled, our bellies got big and then we screamed. And that’s all that singing is. speaking, wailing, screaming, moaning on pitch.
We are the ones who overcomplicate it with our overthinking and our expectations.
It’s inhaling, surrendering to the air, and then driving the sound to our outstanding resonating chamber which is our skull. Actually we all have 3 main resonance chambers, our belly, our chest, and our skull.
Singing is simply inhaling, and active exhaling.
Singing is adding sound to our life force.
I’d love to practice some breath with you then. The type of breath we take determines the kind of sound we make.
Learning how to breathe more deeply helps make us better singers, but actually being in control of your own breath will completely change your life. If you build the daily habit of taking deep belly breaths, then it will become the go-to when you encounter a stressful or scary situation.
